The beautiful landscape around Dolný Smokovec invites you to many outdoor activities in the summer. In winter, the High Tatras are among the largest winter sports centers in Slovakia. Throughout the area you will find dozens of lifts and cable cars with many groomed slopes for beginners and advanced skiers. Lovers of cross-country skiing will also enjoy themselves. The most famous resorts include the Ski Resort Starý Smokovec – Jakubkova lúka (ideal for beginners and families with children), Tatranská Lomnica (the resort with the longest cable car), and Štrbské Pleso.
Lovers of culture, water sports and shopping will also enjoy themselves. Near the apartment there are many restaurants, bars, grocery stores. For larger purchases it is possible to go to the 10 kilometers distant city of Poprad, where there is also a water park with many attractions - AquaCity Poprad. You can also enjoy the thermal healing water in Aqua Spa, Gánovce and Thermal Park Vrbov. If you are interested in history, be sure to visit the Podtatranské museum in Poprad, Museum of the Tatra National Park in Tatranská Lomnica, Kežmarok Castle a Spiš Castle, which are among the largest castle complexes in Central Europe.
