International Airport Poprad - Tatry (TAT) is located 10 kilometers from the Srnka apartment. It is the highest airport in Central Europe (718 m above sea level). Charter and private flights land here. Every Friday and Monday, a regular Wizz Air flight from London Luton Airport (LTN) flies here. You can search for tickets at https://wizzair.com. Upon request, we will arrange a transfer from the airport to the apartment. The second nearest is Košice Airport (KSC) (130 km), then Kraków Airport (KRK) (149 km) and Bratislava Airport (BTS) (323 km).
The High Tatras can be easily reached by car on the D1 motorway, which connects the cities of Bratislava - Trenčín - Žilina - Poprad - Košice. Near the town of Poprad, take the motorway on the road II / 534 Poprad - Starý Smokovec (exit 325 Vysoké Tatry), which is considered the gateway to the High Tatras. After 7.6 km you will see the Dolný Smokovec National Institute and Vila Kollár signs (see photo below), where you will turn right. You will cross the railway crossing and on the left you will see the building of Villa Kollár. You can plan your trip via Google Maps right here: Google Map. The starting point of train transport to the High Tatras is the railway station Poprad - Tatry, which is a transport hub where all international trains and express trains to / from the city of Košice, Prague or Bratislava stop. At the Poprad train station, there is a platform for the Tatra Electric Railways, from where trams leave, which provide transport on the Poprad-Tatry - Starý Smokovec - Štrbské Pleso line. Dolný Smokovec Train Station is only 100 meters away from Apartment Srnka. You can find train connections on the Timetable page.
You can easily get to Dolný Smokovec by bus, the bus stop Vysoké Tatry, Dolný Smokovec, motorest is only a few meters away from our apartment. You can take a long-distance or international bus to the bus station in Poprad, from where buses then leave for individual parts of the High Tatras. You can find bus connections on the Timetable page.
